What is Cuckolding

The term cuckold comes from medieval times and it usually describes a husband whose wife is committing adultery.
In some cases it is used to describe a man that, without his knowledge, his wife has conceived with another man and he has to raise those children.
Nowadays the term is usually referred to a sexual fetish where the husband watches his female counterpart have sexual intercourse with one or more male partners.

It is unclear when the first time the term was used but there are many references to "cuckolds" in medieval poetry.
The most prominent myth suggests that the word comes from the cuckoo bird and the habit of the female to change male partners and lay her eggs into another bird's nest so that bird hatches her eggs and raises the infant.
In different traditions the term is connected to the stags that have to give up their mates after being defeated in a duel by another stag, this is where the mocking "sign of the horns" comes from.

In modern era the term usually describes a sexual fetish that is very different from the medieval folklore.
In this particular fetish, the male counterpart is not only aware of his wife's infidelity but he gets to watch and sometimes be sexually satisfied as she has intercourse with one or more male individuals.
There are many variations of the fetish, as the couple does not need to be married or monogamous.

Sometimes the one who practices the infidelity in front of his mate is the male counterpart in which occasion the wife is called cuckqueen.
The fetish is closely associated with the dominance within the couple. In most cases the dominant mate is the one that gets to have sex with multiple individuals in order to enjoy  the victimazation of his/her submissive counterpart.
Another variation is "wife-swinging". This happens when two or more couples interact with each others by changing sexual partners.
